Today the nurse came to visit us (Rilon and I) to see how we are doing. She asked all the questions about postpratum and was happy with my answers. Took my blood pressure which was 106/80 she asked it that was normal I said yeah it is usually around 108. She then took Rilons heart rate 158bpm said it was a bit high but sound good, Dr's like to now if it is 160 of higher. His temp was 36.5 normal and his weight 2250kg (4lbs 15oz) tonight he should reach 5lbs. She said I make good milk...lol

He is home
My tiny little guy is home.
His weight leaving the hospital was 2115 (4.7lbs) .
I got to the Hospital at 2pm and the nurse came we went over his charts and tags (to make sure he was mine) then the Dr H came to chat with me she asked me about the ASA (asprin) and the IVIG wanted to know why they had me take them, I explained it all. She then said I have a very healthy little guy and that he is a sweet boy.
Rilon and I left the Hospital around 5pm (in rush hour) When we got home Orion was somewhat curious of this new little creature invading his space...lol He was very gental with him, then went about with is day.

Guess who is coming HOME!
Rilon, Rilon is coming home today!
When I went in yesterday the nurse said to leave all his monitors attached to him because they are checking everything to make sure he is good to go home tomorrow (which is today). I had a big smile on my face. They also came by to do the hearing test on him but they came right at his next feeding time so I took the test a bit longer because his sucking on his soother interfeard some, he passed the test.
This morning I have to put his carseat in the car. I fixed up his cradle that is in my room, diapers are bought, his clothes are all washed. Just waiting for auntie J to come over and watch Orion.
Orion either is getting a cold or it is a reaction to the needles he got a week and a half ago. He is sneezing non stop and his nose is runny.

Birth story
As you know my water broke in the wee hours of March 20 at 4:10am...
I woke to my water breaking, it was just enough that I knew something was up. I got up to go to the washroom and it was clear fluid. I did not want to wake DH yet just in case it was not my water (you never know right... or call it denial..lol) I went and laid back down but 1st I put down a draw sheet..lol. 15min later it happened again back to the washroom I go, still clear fluid. Went a laid down again looked at the time it was 4:30am I did not want to wake anyone just yet thought I'd wait till 5am. A few minutes later more water came out much more this time so I figured I should let dh know what was going on (he has been sleeping in the spare room because I have started to snore and I am pretty restless while sleeping) When I woke him his response was "your having a baby" in a really sleepy voice i was not sure if he understood what was happening..lol. I told him to sleep a bit longer I'd wake him when J gets here. i go down to the main floor and make a mad dash to the bathroom yet again. I call J on her cell (she said it would be on at all times ) and it went to the answering machine, I laughed in the message and said I hope you answer your home phone. She answered her home phone pretty quick and said you want me to come over (no hello..lol, later she told me her dh woke to the ring of the phone and said Y is having the baby and went back to sleep..lol)
J arrived about an 1/2 hr later time was now a little past 6am. Dh woke and we left for the Hospital, we arrived at 7am. We went up to the L/D floor I told the nurse at the desk that my water broke and I am 33w 3d pg, I was then taken in to the Pre-labour room hooked up to the machines to follow Rilon's hb and my contractions if and when they started. Now we had to wait for the Dr to arrive. dr finally arrived and asked all the questions...blah blah blah... She the checked to make sure it was my water for sure and when she inserted the thing (whatever it is called) more water came out and she said no need for me to check more that is your water that broke you are here to stay. I was then hooked up to an IV with some antibiotics to fight infection off since my water broke and no contractions as of yet. Once again they did not want me to go into labor.
I was now admitted, mum an B arrived and shortly after my sis H did too. H then asked mum if she could go into the delivery room this time instead of her. I could see mum was a bit taken back by that and I knew she really wanted to be in there but being the mum that she is she told H you can but you better take some good pics.
The NICU Dr R came to see me and explain and go over a few things about having a preemie, when I saw him I said I remember you, when you did your rounds you saw my son. He then said oh so I guess you have been there and done that..lol Then call this a re-fresher. He came back a few time to just check on me. Nurse came in to get me and move me to a labor room (I think it was the same room I had Orion in) The delivery Dr came back and checked my cervix it was 2cm this was at 2pm. She then came back around 5pm and checked again it was only 3cm, I was a bit disappointed and thought what only 3.
My contractions were starting to come every 2 to 10 min apart, which was frustrating. It was when I finally sat on the birthing ball that they started to become regular and hurt more they were 3 to 4min apart. As I am bouncing and rocking on the ball I could here dh and my mum playing a game on his phone. H was rubbing my back. She and dh would switch. Around 9pm my nurse came in to see me and saw that my contractions were intense so she went to see if she could find the Dr to check me, when the nurse came back she said that she saw they planned on coming to check me at 10pm, I then had another contraction the nurse then said I think I need to check you myself now(9:30pm). When she did I was at 8cm, she left to find the Dr, NICU team and the epidural guy when she came back she said they were already in with another delivery.... I moaned and said so I guess no epidural for me...lucky me as another contraction took a hold of me. Nurse left the room to check on other patients.
My contractions were came faster and harder now and then I had the huge urge to push when I told Dh this he ran for the nurse she came running in saying that is a good thing to come and get me, said the NICU team was still in the other delivery. Nurse checked my cervix again and said you are there your 10cm I need to find some Dr's. She came back with a Dr for me and 2 others for Rilon. By this time I was squeezing H's hand and arm so hard I was in so much pain dh was rubbing my back. The dr and the nurse were telling me not to push yet ( I was wanting to scream and say you try not to push when he is fighting his way down and out)The nurse then came and took over from H and was talking me thru my contractions telling me to breathe thru the pain ( I was ready to crawl off the bed and climb the walls to try and get out of there but I new the pain would follow) DH thought I was going to fall off the bed by the way I was panting & wiggling about. They then had me on my back dh and the nurse both had a leg I was squeezing both of there hands the dr was finally telling me to push,by this time my eyes were so heavy I could not keep them open, Rilon's head was right there they held the mirror up for me to see but I just could not keep my eyes open to watch. I believe 4 pushes later his head was out and wiggling around and again Dr was telling me not to push (what...OMG! was she kidding, almost impossible) but I fought hard not to and I mean fought hard.
I then heard the Dr say get a towel for mom as soon as the towel was on my belly Dr said gentle pushes and then he was out and cry that beautiful sound (11:24pm) What a sight to see my new son.
He cried a few time when the Dr's were checking him over. Once again I had to remind my family to go take photos of him...lol. Mum and H were both able to stay and watch the delivery, I guess when things started to happen and with now NICU team they forgot that they were in the room. They nurse brought Rilon over to me and placed him in my arms, I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open to look at him. Dh came over and was checking Rilon out too, I started to feel very tired my eyes were so droopy that I said to Dh to take Rilon from my arms because I can not stay awake. I remember Dh taking him and I remember seeing Dh in the corner holding Rilon up to his face and smiling then my eyes closed. I heard the Drs say lets take him to the NICU you all can come if you want then the room was quiet. My nurses shift was over she said she was glad I delivered because she would not be able to sleep.
The new shift nurse came in and brought me some toast to eat, I was so hungry and so tired that I was falling asleep eating. I just gave up eating and closed my eyes and that is when Dh my mum and sis came back (I just was not going to get sleep...lol) The nurse then got a wheelchair for me and wheel me to meet my son. Once again I remember sitting at Rilons bedside fighting to keep my eyes open. Once I was in my room and everyone left I was out like a light.
I never did get Rilon's Apgar score. I also did not need any stitches I only ended up with one teeny tiny tear.

Home sweet home....
We are back home, got here 2 nights ago late in the evening. Rilon arrived in the afternoon while mum and I had to wait for a 9:40pm flight.
Rilon was taken to another hospital here in the city which is on the other side of town from where we live..lol at least we are back home.
When Rilon arrived the nurse call dh to let him know that he arrived safely alone with my breast milk...lol They said he was quiet hungry when they reached the hospital (they will not feed him on the plane, it was a bit past his feeding time when they arrived at the hosp.)
As of today Rilon has not been gavaged feed for 2.5days he has drank from the bottle or breast fed. He now weights 2015 gram = 4.44lb, lbs ( something is off and it is either the conversions site I use or the hospitals because they say his birth weight was 1960 gram = 4.32 lb, lbs but the pounds they told me was 4.51lbs abd the site I use gave me the other 4.32 hmmm)
Orion did not take strange to me either, he was asleep when dh & I got home so when he woke in the morning I went in to get him like it was just anyother day and all he did was look at me for a moment then put his arms up to me.... my boy looks so big now and how I missed him so.

Day 4 in Regina
Ri is doing good his weight is now 1955kg (4.5lbs) he did really well on his 7pm feeding, he took approx. 30ml off me, he also peed thu his diaper twice today. Oh the stinky poops he has to, I thought they we not to stink at this stage....somebody lied about that.
I was able to give him a bath tonight. He cried while I was wiping him down then the nurse said lets try him in the tub. I lifted his tiny naked little body and as soon as his butt hit the water he stopped crying and was just looking around as I bathed him. When I took him out he started to cry once again and what a cute little cry he has. I put his clothes on and wrapped him up in his blanket and he was happy again. Gramma had the cuddle session as I had to pump.
When I got back from pumping my mum handed Ri to me so fast that I looked at her stunned. (I was going to let her hold him a bit longer as I hog the boy myself) later she told me that just before I came back she started to feel her nose get all tingly and her eyes watery and that is why she pretty much tossed Ri at me...lol she said the look on my face was priceless.

Day 3 in Regina
Went and saw Ri for his 10am feeding he latched on to me and sucked away. After about 30min the Nurse Judy came to weight him (to see approximantly how much he drank from me) she came back saying he only drank about 10mil, I thought he drank more then that from the way he was sucking, he ended up having the rest by gavage. Ri's 1pm fed was by gavage, he was to tired to suck. I got to hold him for most of the afternoon, felt good hugging my little boy. I tired to beastfeed again at his 4pm feeding time, but the nurse had me pump for a few minutes before to get the flow going hoping that would help him get more. Well that did not work he was gavaged the rest of his feed & I finished pumping.

Healthy Boy
Ri got a clean bill of health today. Which ment we could rid ourselves of the gowns, gloves and mask...YEAH. (I kept getting strange looks from other parents) and no more over heating mom and gramma..lol.
I breast feed Ri 3x's today and he did really well. His weight is now 1890kg (4lbs 3oz) he eats 30mil per feed by bottle.

The food here in the hotel is not the greatest and it is expensive. The Helath region back home it to pay $15.00 for one meal a day (yeah whoopy) one meal in the hotel is $20.00 +. We found the cafiteria in the Hospital which oddley enough was better food and cheaper.

Day 1 in Regina
Saw Ri today he looks good, what a cute little guy he is.
1st off the hospital is confusing but we found our way got into the NICU (which is a very different set up from home) . Mum and I scrub and the nurse led us to Ri, his little area was cornered off and when I looked in the nurse Sharon was holding him I was kind of taken back of what she was wearing. She had on a Yellow mask, yellow gown and blue gloves. The nurse explained why they had to wear the lovely outfits for now (b/c he came from a different hospital and he was being "quarantined" and tested if anything other then him came, meaning germs. Which is why we had to wear the get up. They had to wait for is tests to come back - )
The Nurse Sharon said Ri had a few bottles and is doing well. He is still a bit Jaundice so he will be put back under the lights. We tried breastfeeding at his 4pm feeding and Ri did very well, I was very impressed because he opened wide and pretty much lunged for my nipple and sucked away (kind of freaked me out at how fast he was). I left the Hospital at 6:30pm for the night, I was pretty tired.
My breasts were starting to get very engorged again, it started on the plan ride to Regina. When we got to the Hospital I mentioned this to the nurse (this was before I tried to breast feed him) she asked if I could breast feed to bring them down, I said they are quite full and tight, but I could try and wait till the 4pm feed. She went on her break and about 10minutes later I was hurting my breast were so hard and uncomfortable that I had to pump, I asked a different nurse to show me the pumping room. She saw how hard and tight I was and when My nurse came back she came to my pumping room with warm clothes to cover my breast with to help the flow and ease my discomfort some. She then brought me some water to drink and more warm clothes, she laughed and said this is when you need more hands, that is when I asked her for some elastic bands. She gave me a funny look but went and got them for me. I then showed her how I go hands free while pumping, she was impressed and went to get another nurse to see...lol

The dam breaks
Dh took me to the airport with O and I held my boy up till I had to enter the gate, as we walked closed the the loading gate my eyes filled with tears and the dam broke I could not keep them back I just look at dh and smiled and shrugged my shoulders.
O looked at me wondering what was going on, then changed his attention to other things around him. I finally gave him one last big hug and Dh too and made my way thru the gate with mum, I looked back and waved. Dh waved and was holding O who was just staring at me. I kept walking and when I looked back again I did not see them (thought they left already) . Dh later told me that they were still there and he saw me look back again but at that time someone walk in front of them and blocked my view. I guess O started to freak when he saw me walking further away from him and tried to run after me, dh had to hold him back and I guess Or started to cry and reaching out for me. I did not see or hear any of this which is probably a good thing would of made it that much harder to leave.

My mum & I are leaving tonight and should arrive at 11pm, nurse called and said he arrived safely.
Praying for a short stay, I want to be home with my other boy, I feel guilty leaving him and that he will be upset with me for being away from him.... I am torn either way.

Big bro meets little bro and then Off we go
Lil O met his lil brother today. At 1st he'd just look then point and say see see then he'd bang on the incubator and giggle, Ri just laid there. O started to get a bit antsy so Dh and I took him out of the NICU before he started anything.
Dh took him to the waiting room where H was waiting and they played with the toys I went to pump. After pumping I went and put the milk in the fridge and went to take one last look at Ri. A nurse came up to me asking if the manager found me yet, I said no and she said oh well they need to speak with you. (I felt like I was going to the principles office..lol) When she came to talk with me there was another lady with her (I can not remember there names, all a blur) she went on about moving babies around. I new what she was getting at but I was think what Hospital here in the city they were going to send him to, then I heard her say Regina. I ask her if she was kidding. She so no sorry I am not. I stared at her as she went on talking, my eyes started to tear up all I could think about was Ri leaving and me having to leave O. Then I heard her ask if I had any questions, I said I need to get my husband he is in the waiting area. When I went out to get DH I started to cry again and Dh say me and was freaked out, he asked what was wrong is Ri ok, I tried to get out that Ri was ok that they were shipping him out but it did not come out to clear. I just waved for dh to follow me back to Ri's bed where he could speak with the Dr's. After they explained everything again, both Dh and I said we understood why they chose Ri (he was one of the healthier preemies and would handle the flight better then the others) and that it was just hard for me because I had to leave another baby behind to be with Ri and plus I just gave birth 2 days ago and was all hormonal.
I was still crying when we walked out of the NICU and when I saw the other Dr and the look on his face he looked shocked to see me crying, I just looked down walking by him (I thought he new) I guess he was all worried and went to the back and asked if he missed something with baby A that is when he found out, he thought they had the wrong baby. He then came out to talk with DH and I said he was sorry and that I scared him as well when he saw me crying. He said he was surprised that they chose Ri in a way, and that he was the 3rd baby today to be picked to be sent out (one went to Edmonton the other to Montana I got Regina)
They were so send Ri that night but he ended up going the next day (they could not get the plane ready to leave in time) I arrived late that evening.

He was born on March 20 2007 at 11:24pm after 19 hours of labor and I did not have a chance for the epidural... will post his birth story later on.

broke at 4:10am just like when Lil O's a constant leak..... it is not pee.

Ah Family
They are waiting on pins and needles for Ri to arrive. They call me every morning and ask so how is everything??? or they are letting me now that they are stepping out so if I need them their cell phone is on, something tells me they are a bit anxious and excited...lol
My mum calls me last night to say her and B are going to the movies and was a bit nervous to go I said I am fine go have fun...lol Plus B wants to go see his mum in the next week or so but my mum does not want to leave me, which I don't want her to either...lol I could go anytime or not and if they go they just could miss it all... and of course murphys law right, they go I will go into labour...lol
anyways:
My body is sore, My hips and buttocks are achy I did not have this discomfort with O's pg...lol
It hurts to walk, is this normal?....lol

Still pg at the moment......
33w3d (32w6d u/s)
Ri's movements have slowed down a bunch, I get a few good moves here and there but not like he use to give me. I seem to have to pee much more often these last 2 days and my tummy is getting hard more too they seem harder and tighter if that makes any sense...lol
Wakes me at night now, even when I try to roll from one side to the other it is like a rock..
My sis J is saying Wednesday your having him...lol (I don't think so myself) I do have a Dr appointment on Tuesday we will see what he has to say.
I don't know maybe I am tring to read my body to much...
Oh and my veins, I see pretty much every vein in my belly and breasts (it reminds me when you look at a ski mountain from a distance and you see all the runs down the hill)..lol I remember when I had my laporascopy the Drs mentioned on all my veins...lol they were all impressed at how well they could see them just looking at my tummy when they put me out and had the lights on me...lol
I still feel April is the month when Ri will grace us.
Thank for reading I just had to get it out, even if it is silly of me.

what to go by?
By Ultrasound I am 32weeks today but by last AF I am 32w4d. Dr is going by u/s so I guess I am 32w. Last Dr Update was on the 8th (yeah I am a bit late in posting this) I think it was one of the fastest appointments I have had yet. Appt was for 3:05pm and I was back in my car at 3:22pm.... seem unreal right??lol Anyways, He measured the belly listened to Ri's heart rate 135bmp. Dr said since I got the steroids it does not matter the he check me internally then he pause and looked at me at said that did not sound right, it does matter but I do not want to mess with you anymore then need be...lol and the steroids will help if anything should happen. my weight ~ 136.lbs (62.0 kg) B/P ~ 108/72 everything else is normal. Next appointment on Mar 20th.

Had u/s today
and they said all looks fine, cervix looks great said it measures around 3cm (30mm) and when I said to the Dr P there that Dr O felt a difference in my cervix by doing the internal, Dr P then said oh yeah at this stage it is more accurate with the internal then by u/s... (can we say someone covering there buts) As I was watching the girl scan I noticed Ri was not his active self and that he was also pretty low head looked like it was engage and ready to be born... I feel I have a few more weeks, but you just never really know do you.
I went and got my hair cut today as well, My dh works at a Spa as a massage therapist (no not lucky me...) but instead of me having to pay he traded services with the stylist so now she gets a nice massage for cutting my hair and she did an awesome job. It was the 1st time I have go to her and I will be back, finally someone who was not afraid to get right in there and cut and do a different style on me and it is different because Lil O was not so sure of me when I got home took him about an 1/2 to warm up to mommy's new look...lol.
I took a before and after shot on my cell phone but S did not save it so I think they are lost I will post a pic later this week since I need to do a belly photo.

Well guess what has opened... yup my Cervix..
and for some odd reason I am surprised...lol
So Good Ole Dr had the nurse give me my 1st Steroid shot today and I go back tomorrow around 3:30pm (24hr later) for the next one. When he was checking my cervix he said yup there is change and you have opened so we need to give you the steroid now and I laid there shocked...WHY... I don't know...lol.
So Today I am 31w by my last AF but by u/s I will be 31w on Saturday. I go for another u/s on Thrusday and see how open I am.
You know I have been having such crappy sleeps for the last couple of nights too.
As for the NICU situation it seems to be ok at the moment.
I guess I should pack my bags eh.
Hoping for another 4wks at least
Oh and would you not know, My mum and sis came to clean house today so they watched Orion for me as I went to the Dr and when I got to the office a parking spot was free right at the front doors and it was not that cold either. When I got into the office my wait was short... go figure... since I did not have Orion with me everything went fast and smooth not the he ever minded.

Play date day.....
For Orion.
We met with S and her dd C for a play date at the mall kiddie area, the 1st time we took the kids here. As we walked in the play area the ground was softly padded, nice to know that if they fell they would not be hurt even the climbing stuff was soft.
Orion surprised me we were not in the play area for even 2min and he was off crawling to the 1st thing got up and start walking to the next. I was kind of shocked my little boy left me behind, he was climbing everything he could. I did see him look back for me few times to make sure I was still around made me feel good he still wants mommy close... He had so much fun the smiles on his little face melted my heart.
Once he figured out that he could climb one thing then slide down the other side he was in heaven, he even new to turn his but around to go down smiling all the way...again without mommy's help. My little boy wants to do it on his own first and if he can not then he looks to me for help.
He did not freak out when kids came up to him he'd just squeal and laugh with them, I had to think this is my boy... he normally starts to cry when a stranger looks or comes up to him, not today.
We were there for 1hr 45min and Orion and C were non stop the whole time, I took 97photos of him...lol.. I love Digital.
The pics are not the greatest because I was playing with my toy...lol I was fooling around with the settings, getting to know my Canon XTi.

A box fell on my back
When I was at Micheals craft store today.
I was in the isle and stopped to give Orion a snack and moved to the side of the cart for his bag and BANG right on my back it took me a second that something fell on me, it hit me just below my shoulder blades. If I did not move to the side of the cart when I did it would of nailed Orion square on the head. I said loud enough to the person on the other side to be carefull & when she came to the other side to pick up the box I said to her that it just missed my son and hit me. Her only response was OH..picked up the box and walked away, no sorry or are you ok just, oh.. (yes she was an employee)
Rilon is moving like crazy so I am not to worried.

More then one
Step that is....... Orion is finally WALKING YEAH! (I say that now)
On Valentines Day I was cleaning up some because I had a friend "Missy" coming in from out of town. As I was wiping the counter tops down I hear this joyus giggle coming Orion so I look over at him and his is standing up eveys right on me and then he did it he took 5steps to me, I cheered and cheered clapping my hands, even laughing himself as he feel but got right back up again... He kept doing this then I thought to myself I better catch this on video for daddy (so he'd beleive me...lol).
When Auntie Missy arrived Orion played shy for a bit but a few hours later he was showing off his new talent he kept Walking and walking for her.
Daddy got home later so I could only show him the video of his boy walking and Dh said well Happy Valentines Day to us..lol

29w Dr update
29 weeks today
Cervix still closed nice and tight.
Rilon's Heart rate was 148bpm.
my bp was 119/60
Weight was 59.8kg (about 132lbs) I think I have gained only 15lbs so far, not bad since I gained 23lbs I think with Orion.
I asked how the NICU/SCN were doing since he is one of the head guys on that floor aswell, Dr said that yes it is tight but the media is also making more of it then it is. He said that most likely I will not be shipped out but the possiblitiy is there. He mentioned that last year 6 were shipped out within Canada from here and this yr they have had to send out 4 including one to the states. I asked about passport he said good question but you would not need one not sure about dh.
He said I was doing well, I even said I think I may just make it a bit further then I did with Orion (have not had many tightens for the last week) he said yeah maybe a week or two more.
I asked about being able to take anything for my cold stuffy nose he said NO not to take anything, Guess I have to ride it out.....
It was one of the coldest days of the week so far -20c and I had to walk a distance to the Dr office since the office parking was full (Dr office is at the Hospital). The roads were slippery one girl fell down beside me as we were walking.... I asked if she was ok, secretly thankful that it was not me. On Monday there was over 200 accidents because the icy road conditions, if people would only learn to slow down in this weather...
Next appointment in 2weeks.

Cervix update...
28w 2d (27w 5d)
Cervix measured 31mm which is great...whew!
I was at the u/s clinic for 3 hrs yes 3 flipping hours!
My appointment was for 10am. When we got there the room was full so I knew it would be somewhat of a wait but not 3hrs, good thing DH drove his own car because he had a massage client at 12pm. My name was called after 1hr to come back to the Questioning room (make sure everything is up to date) then they took us to another waiting area to wait for the u/s tech. Two other couples came in right behind us and they were taken into the u/s rooms before us...hmmmm. Good thing my bladder was not full. Finally after about 30min a tech came and got us, said she was a student. Started the scan everything looking great with Rilon he was moving all over once again. Dh had to leave a few minute into it and that made Orion cry and cry (good thing he does not have one of those lose scream cries) he settled down after about 15min. Then another tech came in (the teacher) said she wanted to re check my placenta... I am thinking my placenta?? I have not even seen my cervix scanned yet and thought maybe I missed it when Orion was crying.
U/S done (or so I thought) they lead me to another waiting area for the Dr to talk to me which was about 30 to 45min wait again........ Thank god for treats for Orion because of all days this was the day he did not want to eat breakfast right away so he only had had milk and it was running into his nap time, yet he was a good little trooper and I thought that I'd be in and out of the u/s clinic with in the 1hr or 1.5hr....never assume, I should know that by now.
Dr finally come into the room asks me if they did the trans vaginal u/s? I said no, as a matter of fact while sitting in here I was thinking they did not check my cervix because I do now what it looks like now. Dr said hmm they gave me a measurement and it looks fine but I did not see the scan in the back either, yet they say it was measuring good so we will book you again in 2 to 3weeks. Up I go to the front desk to re-book and get my photos of Rilon when I see the good Dr come out and walk up to me, I smiled and said let me guess you need me to come back. She said sorry I just am not happy with it. So back Orion and I go, wait 10min tech come to get me give me a room tells me to take my pants and underwear off and leaves, I do as she asks and 3sec later she comes back and says oh they want you in another room.... I am thinking is this day going to end. Put my pants back on and go to another room get scanned and all looks great we are free to go...We get back up to the front desk to get the photos and they said that I did not have to pay and that they were so sorry for the long wait.... it is now 1pm.
Orion passed out in a matter of seconds as I put him in his car seat. Got home he slept till 3 then we went to our play date and S & C place.
Good thing I am an easy going person, I do get impaitent but I don't show it (what is the sense to get mad)
I will post the photos later tonight. Alos the some of the video clip of Rilon for the other day.
Cervix measured 31mm which is great...whew!
I was at the u/s clinic for 3 hrs yes 3 flipping hours!
My appointment was for 10am. When we got there the room was full so I knew it would be somewhat of a wait but not 3hrs, good thing DH drove his own car because he had a massage client at 12pm. My name was called after 1hr to come back to the Questioning room (make sure everything is up to date) then they took us to another waiting area to wait for the u/s tech. Two other couples came in right behind us and they were taken into the u/s rooms before us...hmmmm. Good thing my bladder was not full. Finally after about 30min a tech came and got us, said she was a student. Started the scan everything looking great with Rilon he was moving all over once again. Dh had to leave a few minute into it and that made Orion cry and cry (good thing he does not have one of those lose scream cries) he settled down after about 15min. Then another tech came in (the teacher) said she wanted to re check my placenta... I am thinking my placenta?? I have not even seen my cervix scanned yet and thought maybe I missed it when Orion was crying.
U/S done (or so I thought) they lead me to another waiting area for the Dr to talk to me which was about 30 to 45min wait again........ Thank god for treats for Orion because of all days this was the day he did not want to eat breakfast right away so he only had had milk and it was running into his nap time, yet he was a good little trooper and I thought that I'd be in and out of the u/s clinic with in the 1hr or 1.5hr....never assume, I should know that by now.
Dr finally come into the room asks me if they did the trans vaginal u/s? I said no, as a matter of fact while sitting in here I was thinking they did not check my cervix because I do now what it looks like now. Dr said hmm they gave me a measurement and it looks fine but I did not see the scan in the back either, yet they say it was measuring good so we will book you again in 2 to 3weeks. Up I go to the front desk to re-book and get my photos of Rilon when I see the good Dr come out and walk up to me, I smiled and said let me guess you need me to come back. She said sorry I just am not happy with it. So back Orion and I go, wait 10min tech come to get me give me a room tells me to take my pants and underwear off and leaves, I do as she asks and 3sec later she comes back and says oh they want you in another room.... I am thinking is this day going to end. No room for moms-to-be in S. Alberta
What!
If I go into labor now I will be shipped to Montana or somewhere else other then here.
There are no beds available for nicu. This is not something I want to add to my stress of mostly having a preemie. My Dr's keep stressing to me I will not have a full term baby. Now I have to worry about being shipped out, what about DH and Orion I am praying That Rilon stays put for 5 more weeks then I will be 33w, I just don't know I have been having tons of hardings Drs want to do the steroid shot next week I have an u/s tomorrow to see how things are going........ Man I do not need to worry about something else which adds to me to worry about my son and DH.
I really need a miracle that Beds open up or that Rilon stays put longer then expected.
It is a big thing in the news here at the moment.

Went well.
I felt sorry for this older guy that came in they could not find a vein on him and took them 45min and 6pokes before I left so I am not sure if the had any success.
5 more weeks till I reach 33w.
Also went for my GD test, will find out about that next Dr appt which in on the 12th.

Dr Update
27 week Dr appointment
My normal Dr O was called away on a personal emergency so I so Dr B today. When the nurse told me this and mentioned Dr B my mind went back to William, he was the Dr I was to start to see but they took a long time to make the appointment and when they finally did I lost William 1 week before the appointment.
We (Orion and I) waited 1 1/2 hrs to see him since he had to see all of Dr O patients too (talk about backed up) While waiting there was this little boy same age as Orion walking around and then when I look at him one time he had his hand down the front of his diaper all I could think was is this what I am in for next I am keeping Orion in a onsie at all times...lol.
When I finally saw Dr B, he was nice and told me again about Dr O and that not to worry I have not lost him as a Dr..lol. He read thru my chart and said he was not going to attempt to check my cervix since I have been have contractions (tighten) he mentioned the steroid shots. He then measure my belly and laughed at the loppiness of it and when I said that is my UU he said then you defiantly should get the steroid shot at your next appointment because you will have another preemie most likely. Then he felt my belly and said you are oddly shaped like a banana but with more of a curve.

Time out!
Is that not how it is suppose to go? I was out at a kid store the other day and this little boy was causing havoc and his mom kept saying M that is not nice, M don't do that, M get back here... then I heard her say M that is ONE (M ignored her) she then said M I said ONE (pause) Ok M ONE!
I thought should that last ONE not be THREE?? No wonder the boy M was not listening, mummy was not following the counting technique right.
Well when Orion and I left the store I bent down to him and said your were such a good boy in the store Orion mummy is proud of you. He smiled and pointed towards the sky to a plane saying Daddeeee.
Seeing what happened in the store I thought that I had better praise my boy for the good, because it did make me realise that I need to tell him more often that mommy is proud of him when he is good and that I did notice.
This is what I have read and heard you should do:
Give verbal warnings first (if possible): Verbal warnings allow the child to make choices about their behaviour and learn to change behaviour before the discipline is required.
One good technique for verbal warnings is Counting to Three: When a child is doing something wrong you say, "That's One". Then wait a few seconds. If they are still doing the unacceptable behaviour say, "That's Two". Wait a few more seconds and say "That's Three, Time Out. [Explain reason for Time-out here]". Then you escort them to the Time-out area.
Then Today I was out with my mum at the mall (My dentist) and we sat to have a bite to eat and just before we were to get up to leave I noticed this little boy sitting on the ground (pouting) I looked to see where his mom was she was sitting at a chair just a few steps away from him. She called to him and he did not listen so I heard her say ONE...... he still did not respond to her then she said TWO.... (I thought oh here we go, I wanted to see what happened... I am looking for tips) then she said that's 2 and a half....what??? once again where is THREE. So my mum and I left and that little boy was still on the ground just in a different spot.....
By all means I am not the perfect parent no one is, but seeing what others do does help me in learning what to do....... and in my learning and watching a parent needs to follow thru... to get the full effect of discipline.
I just have to remember that I have to follow thru and no empty or foolish threats.
Oh and another thing in the news I heard of a lady that left her 4 yr old in the car so she could run to the bank machine, she left the car unlocked and running....... she came back out and it was gone STOLEN with her son in the back seat. The police later found it in a near buy parking lot with the boy safe inside (thank the heavens) they think that the thief saw the boy in the back seat parked it and high tailed it out of there.
This mother was VERY lucky that nothing happened to her son.
Yes it is tempting to think you could run in and out of a store really fast and leave your kid/s in the car, but come on you have to use common sense and do your best at preventing anything bad that can happen to your kid/s and leaving them in the car alone unattended is unacceptable and can lead to disaster.

Ah there is an end in sight....
This cold hit me hard, I can just imagine what Orion felt when he had it and no wonder he just clung to me like he did. I wanted my mummy (but I held back on calling her....call it pride). Good thing I have such a good little boy because he was not very demanding while I layed on the couch, floor or were ever else I just sat and vegged out...lol. My nose is still stuffed up (it is amazing how much can come out of your nose..sorry TMI) My face is raw from blowing and my eyes watering.
The first bad night when DH got home from work I asked him if he was home for good, he looked at me and said yes... oh the relief I had tears in my eyes... he then sent me to bed.
My mum and sister J came buy yesterday (Fri) and did a big clean up for me, but before the started I was told to go have a nap and I was not aloud to leave my bedroom for at least 1hr...lol I slept for 2hrs. I so needed that because I only got 3hrs of sleep the night before because my body felt so restless that I could not sleep.
Anyways I or we all are on the mend now DH is all better Orion is sleeping better now no more bad cough for him while sleeping and me just stuffed up....

Rilon's Ultrasound photos and update
Went for the 26week u/s cervix check today.
When we got into the u/s room the tech introduced us to the Dr that was in traing to do u/s, I laughed and said a Dr in trainging...
Everything is measuring great, cervix is 3.2cm long and closed. Rilon is right on target 26w (25w3d via u/s's) he weighs about 970 gram = 2.138 483 943 lb
they said Rilon was the perfect baby for a newbie to learn on.
She got a really good face shot of him it looks 3dish almost, everyone in the room went whooo look at him when they saw it on the screen...looks like another one with Orson's nose again...lol

There are some very special people out in this world ....
I never would on found them if it were not for "Cyber space", They did not have to do this but yet they chose to. Out of these women I have met only one of them... I feel close to these women, we all share a special bond (babies in heaven)
I received a gift from them to help me (since I have been told to take it easy) I will use that gift for grocery deleivery, have someone do the shopping for me and bring it to my house.

Well the sickies have left my DH an Orion
but I think they may be on there way to me my throat is sore.....
I really tried to say away from dh, but I guess it does not help when he sleeps in the same bed and coughs your way in his sleep. It is no fair he can sleep 4 different way while I am stuck with just on my left side, I am not to lay on my back (even tho I do sometimes) I can not lay on my tummy and it is way to uncomfortable to lay on my right side (I try but can only handle it so long) it feels like Rilon is trying to fall to the right but he can't because he is all left I guess the uterus does not flop around...lol. So I guess what I am saying is DH has 4 ways to sleep and yet he seems to face my way....hmmmm.

I did take Orion to the Dr on Thursday and he has a upper respiratory infections (a cold) nothing I can give him other the baby Tylenol to make him more comfy. Would you not know it tho he started to feel much better after the Dr appointment. He was good he let her check him out he just did not like her looking down his throat and he gagged and then cried...

You know I love my DH very much but I don't like him home all day for 5days....lol

My poor little boy
He is now fighting a bad cold. His nose is so runny his eyes are droopy and I think his head hurts buy the way he keeps grabbing at it.He is also very clingy to me, I am not getting much done but that is ok my boy wants his mommy.
Now daddy has the cold(grown men and colds....oh boy) please don't let it find me, I am washing my hands constantly.

Back from Dr.... update and some ...
24weeks (23w3d as per u/s)
As you know it once again I hit every red light to get there (it is a 25min drive to get to the Dr)
And when I finally do arrive do you think I could find a parking spot, ofcourse not because my badder is FULL. So I had to drive over to the over flow parking which is about a 4min walk to the Dr office (which is fine but not on a FULL bladder) I ended up being 25minutes late for the appointment, they did not seem to care and not to mention I always have to wait about that long or even longer so see him Dr O that is.
Anyways on to the appointment:
Urine is Normal
Weight is 58.0kg (127.6 lbs)
b/p is 111/73
Rilon's heart rate was 143bmp
Dr asked about my tighting and said not to puch myself. He asked me Orion's name again and then he said spelled like O-r-i-o-n not O-r-y-a-n? I said that is right. He then said just like the constilation and started to name them all off to me, then he asked what this next ones name will be I said Rilon, he then said what not another constilaion as he lol.
So I see him in 3weeks time Feb 1st, next u/s is Jan 23rd.
Go for the Gestational test sometime after Jan 26, guess I will go on the Monday 29th.

Had my IVIG on Monday, I pretty much had the room to myself for most of it (sits 4 chairs) A lady came being pushed in a wheelchair by her friend, she came in for Chemo treatment, well one of them reaked of cig smoke

All was fine till the end of my IV just as it finished and she started the finishing solution my vain popped it made me jump, it hurt so I now have a nice little bruise on my left hand and it is tender to the touch, oh well small price to pay for a healthy baby...

I was having a shower lastnight and I was planing on shaving (to look "Pretty" for the dr appointment) and would you know it as I opend the shampoo bottle it squirts some soap my way & bang right into my right eye, it was a delayed reaction then I was blinded by the soap. My eyes would not open. I finished what I could (no shaving) with my eyes shut tight. Get out of the shower feel around for my towel dry myself off feel around for my house coat. I then try and work on my eye took about 10min to get it opened a crack. DH came up and said use my eye drops for my contacts for redness, he was laughing at me the way I was trying to put the drop in he then said let me do it... um no I said that would be worse (which brang me back to a kid when my mum would try and put drops in my eyes, I just do not like the feeling..lol) so I finally managed to get a drop in and it stung. crawled into bed and when I woke my evey was crusty but I was able to open it, it is still red and sore so I got some other drops after my Dr appt that I seemed to get in much easier without my dh standing over me watching and laughing...
Why is it that soap only went into my right eye but yet both shut tight and would not open?? And then your nose starts to go crazy when something is up with the eyes, why is that??

I was getting ready to go out to the store and Orion was crawling around the master bedroom and dh was upstairs too, he said he was going to go down and have something to eat so I asked him to take Orion downstairs with him. Dh said but I am going to make something to eat, I said "SO". But Orion will be crawling around I said "Yes he will" Then he was trying to come up with another reason and I jsut looked at him then we laughed because that is when he realised that this is what i do everyday with the boy so he can manage it too.... so he laughed and said "I say no more"...lol

DH came up and said use my eye drops for my contacts for redness, he was laughing at me the way I was trying to put the drop in he then said let me do it... um no I said that would be worse (which brang me back to a kid when my mum would try and put drops in my eyes, I just do not like the feeling..lol) so I finally managed to get a drop in and it stung. crawled into bed and when I woke my evey was crusty but I was able to open it, it is still red and sore so I got some other drops after my Dr appt that I seemed to get in much easier without my dh standing over me watching and laughing...
Why is it that soap only went into my right eye but yet both shut tight and would not open?? And then your nose starts to go crazy when something is up with the eyes, why is that??

Oh and one day lastweek:
I was getting ready to go out to the store and Orion was crawling around the master bedroom and dh was upstairs too, he said he was going to go down and have something to eat so I asked him to take Orion downstairs with him. Dh said but I am going to make something to eat, I said "SO". But Orion will be crawling around I said "Yes he will" Then he was trying to come up with another reason and I jsut looked at him then we laughed because that is when he realised that this is what i do everyday with the boy so he can manage it too.... so he laughed and said "I say no more"...lol

I did not mention that at my u/s they said it was
time for me to start to get help...... They want me to not lift Orion as much (kind of hard when he is still not quiet walking yet) and that I should have someone come in at least every other day to give me a rest...... This is because of my history and my tummy harding I have been getting lately.
I hate to disrupt other peoples lives to "help" me when I still feel able to do it all, but I understand why I need to start to take it easy.
It is just that my family lives pretty much on the other side of town, my mum does not like to drive in the winter and plus B does not like her to drive alone or even in the dark, my sisters have there own families to look after and yet they are all so willing to drop whatever to help me, to help my babies. I have been kindof an emtionial mess since the u/s (that I have hidding from family and DH) Seeing my unborn son so alive on the monitor and knowing that it can just change in the blink of an eye. I have been and try to go on as a "normal" pg but in reality this is not a "normal" pg I am highrisk not to mention my body fights off my pg's. My babies ahve to be and are fighters right from implantation "conception" I just hope and pray Rilon stays put till 28weeks and then we will take it from there...

U/S update, I am 3cm long...
my cervix measurement that is.. and is still closed.
When I told them of my tighten they were concerned some. DH asked what are Braxton Hicks exactly they said pretty much contractions and in your case they will not be taken to lightly.
Rilon was once again a very active boy during it and very proud to say the least at showing his boy parts off, he is following the steps of his big bro in the proudness...lol
The Dr at the u/s clinic said he wants to see me again in 2 to 3weeks so I am scheduled for
Jan 23 at 1pm. I see the High risk Dr O on Jan Tues the 9th.
So far so good other then the BH happening.
Orion kept pointing at the screen and laughing, so it starts early the teasing eh...lol
They would not let DH take a video from his camera phone which is werid because last time they let us use the digital camera and video it... just have to be sneaking next time.
I will re-take the pic tonight an post them.

Go for U/S tomorrow morning...

hoping to see a closed and long cervix
In reality I could have a baby in 10weeks hoping for at least 12 to 13weeks. I also noticed that after this months IVIG I only have one more (goes till 28weeks), and when I was pg with Orion on my last IVIG (29weeks)it was exactly one month to the day that I had him.
I have been feeling a lot of tighten and pressure today (more then normal), is that what braxton hicks is like? Rilon has been active today as well. I am also getting very uncomfortable now, this boy is really on the left I have to sit leaning to the right so I can stretch m left side to be comfy, he sticks out more on my left side it seems more then what Orion did.
Where did the time fly too, having Orion is truly a blessing he has kept me busy.

Guess who took his 1st STEP.....

I was playing with Orion this morning getting him to stand and not expecting him to take that step, he surprised me. He did it a couple of more times and even for daddy..... YEAH!
He also has had more teeth come in on top, here is his teeth count so far:
