enjoy

O'ed

I beleive I Ovulated last night and we did BD so now we are on the 2ww.

Can only hope right?

302 days old

Orion is 302 days old....lol
Week 44 for him on this Earth.

Week 44

Not only is your baby getting into things he should not be getting into, but he is probably learning how to get out of things that you would rather him stay in. Any cabinets, drawers and doors that are not secured are fair game and you can be sure that your baby will discover them.

Many parents will begin claiming that they gave birth to a monkey as your baby starts to crawl, wiggle, and climb out of numerous situations. He may try to climb out of his crib, or scale baby gates. Diaper changes will become even more challenging because lets face it, who wants to lay there for a whole minute and do nothing? Strollers, high chairs, and baby swings will all become victim this month as well.

What Your Baby Might Be Doing

As the month goes on you will notice your baby understanding more and more of what you say. It will become clear that your baby does know what you are talking about, and he will start responding appropriately, but only when he wants too. Questions and comments like, "Are you hungry?", and "Bring me that book." will be understood and responded to by your baby.

What You Might Be Concerned About

Has your baby taken a few steps but looks a little bowlegged? If you are concerned about this, have no fear. Most babies start out bowlegged and stay that way for a couple of years. The bones are not mature enough and the muscles are just not strong enough.

Overtime your babies legs and ankles will straighten out and even up. Your baby will be running and playing like other kids and will look exactly the same. If you are concerned, be sure to ask your doctor at the baby's next visit. He will be able to judge if the extent of your baby's bowlegged ness is more than what is normal for your baby's stage of development.

So far Orion is not crawling,he rolls when he wants too. He does have fast hands tho, as I hold him and walk by things he grabs ahold of them, and the grip he gets on it too... He is stand with our help and almost getting that he needs to put on foot ahead of the other to move...lol

Thinking of my dear friend while

she is in labor about to deleiver her miracle baby boy Jacob only to have to say GoodBye to him. This hurts me on many levels, it brings back many feelings that I have tucked deep inside of me and once again they flow. I have cried for my friend Jules because I know part of what she is going thru then I cry for my Sweet little William the pain of loosing him is back and only knowning what she (Jules) is and will be going thru in the next few days, weeks even months and then when his due date arrives more tears will be shed. Dreams are lost, just taken away.................................

I have a new Flower I will be planting in my garden this year along with my Sweet Williams and lilies there will be Jacobs Ladder blooming beside them, this little miracle will be remember with my others.

Jules I am thinking of you as you wait to deleiver you precious little boy, he may even be in you arms now.

Orion's Angel Care monitor went OFF this morning

I have NEVER jumped out of bed so fast.... 7:30am

All was fine little man just was tucked nicely at the bottom of his crib breathing and all, WHEW! Guess he was just out of range a bit.

When I went back to my room DH said he just about had a heartattack.

It has only gone off twice before and by the time I got to his room he was breathing fine, some times he goes into a deep sleep with shallow breathing....
I think he is testing me.

Next is a Duck......

Orion passed his swimming lesson, he is a starfish.

He did really well, At 1st he was like what is going on here, to splashing the next class. There were a couple of times where the pool was cold and he hated it, because we have to sit on the side of the pool 1st before entering and I have to put the water on his legs, back, arms and head.... Well let me tell you he was NOT impressed with the cold he would give I little Grrrrrrrr (I kid you not) then he'd start his little hiccup cry.
All is forgotten when we are finally in the pool, he starts to splash and kick and babble...lol... But
I could not get him to blow bubbles in the water, when I would try to show him or even the instructor at times he would be looking everywhere but us.... He is learning to ignore the mommy already...lol

here are a couple of swimming pic granma took:

Just before we enter the Pool

Floating on back and kicking legs

Getting use to the tummy and arm movement

Floating on his back

In every class we'd sing songs like Row Row Row you boat and It was funny because every class the intructor would ask us to sing this song but she would always ask "are you all familiar with Row Row Row your boat?" We would all be like yeah we sang it about 5times already....lol

It was fun, he gets to become a Duck when he is 18months old. SO for the time being we will play in the water parks and pools.

My Heart breaks, I am in tears

A very dear friend, thou we have never met we found each other while TTC after losses.

I pray hard that she and her DH find the strength to move forward thru this difficult time, you see she is now 19w pg and just had an u/s that gave her tragic news, this miracle baby boy she is carrying this baby she so desired, may not live long enough for her to meet...... and as parents of their unborn son they may have to make the hardest decision yet.......

Please if you can send her a prayer or two.

Life can be so cruel....

2 week wait ....

ah the lovely 2ww, I O'ed (oveulated) on CD16 two days later then normal but hey I O'ed that is the main thing and we bd the day before so good timing. Now we just wait and wait........... the joys of TTC.

It is funny that when you've be TTC for so long that become comfortable with other knowing your cycle and you will talk about it, yes women have spoken of there cycles before but not in they way of TTC. My TTC life is an open book for those to see if they want to.

I was at my sisters the other day and there was another baby there and she is 2w younger then Orion and she is way bigger then him, it is funny to see how differently babies do grow...lol. She has no teeth while Orion is working on #'s 3&4.

Is there a way to SLOW him down from

growing....... Orion is 9months old, whoa Nelly this is going to fast!

also add a few other photos to his photo site (link it to the right, Orion Clement's Flipbook -------> )

Swimming canceled today do to an incident.....

this is after my friend I spoke with told me about her swimming class when her DD was 7m. She was in the water and they were going in circles with the babies bouncing them up and down when my friend noticed that ladies baby infront lips were blue (baby 4m) so she said to the mom I think your baby is cold and at that Moment the teacher came over and said to the mom may I see your baby for a moment, thinking nothing of it she handed her baby over that is when the teacher took the baby raised her up and yelled LIFEGUARD!!!
She said they came running out of every direction took the baby and started CPR the poor mom could not stand they had to take her out of the poor and support her she was in shock. While all the other moms we told to stay in the water and not to move, they were all crying and holding there babies close.

While my friend was telling me this I had and still do have tears in my eyes this just send chills up and down my spine. It ended up the baby came thru alright but they never went back to the swimming lessons.

There is a mom in Orion's class with a baby 4m old and last class the baby's lip were turning blue plus she was shivering and the teacher told her to get out of the water NOW and warm her up because hypothermia is starting.

It can all happen so fast. I truly believe that a 4m old should not be in swimming, Orion handles it well but in the beginning he shivers too.

So whatever the incident was I hope and pray all is fine.

Swimming up date

We started swimming lessons on Mondaythe 5th and we go Monday & Wed. 1st lesson was good he did not freak out. I will say he did not like the shower part before you enter the pool area, he is the type of baby that does not scream when scared he flails his arms about and then his whole body shakes then he grabs on to me for dear life...lol, then he will start say ah ah ah ah a a a a.

By the end of the lessons he was splashing with his arms and gee gee geee gggggg (that is his laugh now...lol)

Second lesson he was good, he floated on his tummy and back (I do have a hand on him altimes) and we splashed some...lol. He still does not like the shower part so we skipped it.

There is 3 boys and 3 girls ranging from the ages of 3.5m to 9m, personally I think the 3.5m is to young the baby is always shivering and her lips turn blue so her mommy has to take her out of the water to warm her up every few minutes thru out the last lesson.

Brushing Teeth......

Finally today Orion let me brush his two teeth and gums.

I use a finger brush for infants it is rubber with little bristles, when I finally got my finger in his mouth and he heard the squeak of it on his teeth he giggle some then I moved it around his lower gums he sat there with a silly little grin and then when I moved to the top of his mouth he started out with a full belly giggle...... geeeee geeeeee gegegegegeg geeeeee.

Orion starts swimming lessons today @3:30-4pm, I am excited and he has no clue...lol.
Will post more about it later let you know how it all went.

Here yet again, so not pg this month.

She came to me easy again this month, she is being nice to me it is just my O'ing that kills me now...lol

Guess I chold go buy the Clomid for Cycle day 3....... which reminds me I should call the Dr and ask if she can right a letter to Blue Cross so I can get some sort of discount off the clomid it si $60.00 and change for 5 little pills, and Blue Cross says the will not cover that unless my Dr sends a letter directly to them..... I will say Blue Cross drive me nuts, I won't get into that here.

It has hit me hard now,
I so want to be PG so bad again..... For the last 3months I was ok just going with the flow of things but now so many people pg and 2 friends (IRL)of mine just had a babies 2day ago (Welcome little Callista Ocean) that I just want that feeling of a baby growing in me again, it has just thit me the last few days that I am so ready to be pg but I have this stupid feeling that it is not going to happen fast or easy

Great Grandma is here.....

She is from Antigua (she goes there for the winter plus she is from there) She called Saturday morning telling us she is coming to town and asking (well telling) DH to pick her up at the airport at 1am Sunday morning because that is when she is coming in....lol ...... Talk about notice...lol
So dh got her at 12:55am buy the time they got home I was in bed, I guess she wanted to peek in at Orion so dh let her then she told dh to turn on the light so she could see the boy, dh said oh no" Y" will kill me if we wake the boy...lol

Sunday she spent the day with Orion and moi, I have a hard time understanding her sometimes (well most of the time)...lol She held Orion right away and he was good in her lap. She told me that when we sent her the pictures of Orion she cried because she was so happy he was finally here.

DH sister and her dh and son came over for a BBQ Sunday night and Great Grandma said to SIL & I that she has now seen her grand kids have her great grand kids so she can die now....WHAT! Sil (sister in law)& I just looked at each other we were like um okay then......(what do you say)

Great grandma told DH &I again that she cried when we sent her Orion's photos she is so happy he is finally here but we should of called him Noah (after Noah's ark)...lol so jokingly DH said Noah it is, as of this moment it shall be written...lol

How many kids have two Great grandma's still alive and well? The other is still over in Antugia, we will try and see her before Orion is 2. Well just having grandparents is an amazing thing since I pretty much grew up without them, I was too young to really remember my grandpa (mum side, never met her mum) and only met my "dad's" mom once (never met his dad nor was there ever any mention of him)

Lets see what is Orion up to.......
He has cut his 1st tooth, Sitting up much better still topples over in front, says da da da da ba ba ba and I swear he has said ma ma once...lol (I can hope right), he grabs for things. While on his tummy I notice him pushing up with his knees, he is not quiet there yet but he is trying.
He is still such a happy little boy.

He has a Dr appt on May 16 so we will see how much little man weights.

Monday, May 08, 2006

Is that a tooth I see.........

it is, it is a tooth I see.

Orion is cutting his 1st tooth and his is still happy. It has come thru because it is sharp and I think he has hurt him self a couple of time because his hands will be in his mouth then he's start crying, so I think he has bitten himself...lol

He also has a we bit of a diaper rash I am assuming it has to do with the tooth.

So on to prometrium 200mg for 10days to get AF here.

It sure is nice that AF gets a vacation...lol

Started IVIG today

Got there at 8am and was home by 11:15am.

The nurses remembered me they were surprised to see me so soon..lol.. one was like you back but your baby can't even be a year yet...wow.
So ofcourse I showed Orion's photos & they all thought he was a cutie.

I found out that the IVIG cost about $100.00 per 1mg(maybe a bit more) I get 27mg each treatment, if I had to pay for it it would cost me $2700.00 each month. I do IVIG once a month for 3months pre conception then when I get pg I do it once a month till 28w (7months) that would be quiet the cost.

Dr S update ..... TTC

My Dr appt was yesterday I am to Start the baby Asprin and prenatal Vitamins start clomid when AF decides to find me (due yesterday and no sign of her, nope not pg) Dr said if AF not here with in the week to call them they'll run tests(I don't think I O'ed last month). I got weighed and measured for the IVIG which they will call me to let me know when my 1st IVIG treatment will be.

The Dr said wheres the baby? when she entered the room, I said well I was not sure if I sould bring him did not what to step on toes or hurt any feelings (the waiting room) they said no that is ok you can bring him in next time. But I did give the Dr a photo of Orion to put on the wall of HOPE and Miracles. She LOVED the pic of him.

So here we go again officially TTC, the Dr dh & I all hope it does not take as long as it did for Orion.... fingers crossed. I can not beleive we are here once again, I feel okay and relaxed................. for now ...lol

UPDATE: IVIG is on Monday April 24 @ 8am
.

I went for a blood test aswell for IG (or something like that) and while sitting in the waiting room there was a mother there with her 7m baby boy made me smile and think Orion is doing good because he is doing the same things this little guy was doing. Well when it was time for that mom to do her bathroom test (you know what I mean) she asked if it was ok to leave the little guy here in the waiting room on the floor in his carseat...... what went thru my mind is WHAT we are a bunch of STRANGERS here (I am sure no one would of done anything...to many witnesses) That never would of crossed my mind. She ended up leaving him behind the Clerks desk. Then when she came out and waitied for her to be called for the blood test she againg wanted to leave him alone againg in the waiting room...WHAT THE! The told her there is room for him in the blood draw room.
Never I say Never will Orion be out of my sight in a room full of strangers, School is the only time he will be in a room with strangers and theat will be hard. Not to mention she did turn her back on him to go up to the clerks desk to fill out the forms..... I say she is a bit to trusting in her fellow stranges, there are just to many freaks out there to trust anyone.

------

On another note I think Orion may have his 1st cold,
He has been sneezing lots latley his nose is stuffy or runny and his sleep last night was terrible. He was not crying he was just sneezing so much it would wake him up and at one point I did have to go comfort him, It just seemed that everytime he would fall back to sleep he'd sneeze and wake up.. Should I let it run its course or should I call the Dr... When do you call the Dr?

A mini melt down...

DH was out he had a massage client.

All was fine then I started to try and cook supper and well that is when Orion started to freak and everything started to go down hill, I could not figure out the stupid rice cooker and messed it up burnt some of the meat (Orion still freaking)TV started to do something funky. Orion settled some and just as I was about to start to dish out my food he freaks again (this is after attempting to cook for 2hrs I am hungry and now he is too....my head is hurting...... So I feed the boy and then I realize why I feel so emotional..... PMS! Dh comes in notices the Rice cooker is a big mess I said yes I now the stupid thing, one look at me he knew....lol... I told him what happened so he came and took Orion from me said go eat have your tea relax....... That was all I needed....even DH said a mommy needs a break too.

Food Mill and much much more ......

I went and bought a Kidco Food Mill yesterday and tried it out today and I love it!
I made some carrots for Orion and it was so easy, way easier then I thought it would be I am looking forward to making other stuff for him. He gagged and ate then gagged more but he is getting the hang of it...lol

---

I always wondered how I would handle this one moment I was always warned about when you have a baby, it went well ........ wonder what I am talking about, well read on..............................
Today I was playing with Orion then I put him in his saucer while I did some dishes. When I was done I picked him up again and went to the computer to check my mail, snif snif what is that I smell......... so yup I do the smell test in front (you know what I am talking about) and it seemed fine so I continue to check my mail when this scent passes my nose once again so I figured I better check his diaper, up stairs we go. Have him on the change table unsnap his pj's then his under shirt pull out a new diaper lift his legs up to put it under the Old diaper and low and behold what does my hand slid in to .......................................................
POOP! YUCK!
I grab a wet wipe, wipe of my hand and think to myself "my 1st diaper blow out" I slowly take off his pj's and see no marks .... good sign .... then I see the back of his undershirt a big spot there, my thought how to get it off him with out it getting smeared all over..... (yuck)! Meanwhile Orion is giggling away. I decided to change his diaper 1st, and where does his hands go .... waaaaaa yuck I say! Luckily mommy was faster then he...lol. I got the diaper off only to discover that I had to maneuver his undershirt off him still, got it off but I did not win the battle it was all up his back (yes he is still giggling away, it is like he knows...) So a few wipes later and a bath I had a clean smelling boy back..

That was my adventure for the day, off to feed Orion then put him to bed and start a new day tomorrow.

I'm a survivor of the blow out.

Lets talk formula's .....

Orion has been on Formula on and off from birth. He is a puker, I mean a puker when he was a few months old what went down pretty much came up (something to do with being a preemie and a valve not fully mature yet in his tummy) Then it went away for a bit, breast milk all gone so I bought formula "Parents choice" milk based with iron, then the puking started up. Kept him on it a bit longer thinking it was just the change of "milk" no change puking still happening so I tried Enfamil A+ (had a small can from the Dr) that seemed to work so off to Walmart to buy more.
I get there and noticed Enfamil had a another kind Enfamil Thickened A+ "babies who spit up" so I thought hmmm last Enfamil work this may be good too. I thought wrong the stuff is thicker that is for sure was so hard for Orion to suck out and then clumps would stick in side the nibble and block it all so I had to keep shaking it only for it to clump up and in the meanwhile Orion is getting MAD. Another Idea buy a different nipple (bigger hole) nope still clumps no matter how much and hard you shake or stir it.Dh tried a sippy cup and then well that just came out to fast for the little man and choked so I tossed that can and will just stick with the Enfamil A+ normal brand much easier for Orion to suck not to mention our ears too.

----

I bought a new carseat for Orion and Eddie Bauer Alpha Omega, very nice and it was on sale I came across it by luck. I went out shopping to look at carseats I was at one of the big department stores here and I saw the Eddie Bauer on the floor with a sale price on it saying $50.00 off well .... hmmmm. I could do that since I had a $100.00 gift card for that store and all I would have to pay was the difference plus tax.
Do you think I could find anyone that worked there to help me... no... so Orion & I strolled around till we did. I finally saw someone she came out from the back so I asked her if she work the dept.(she nodded yes) and if they had anymore in stock other then the floor model she said I had to check at the till, when I turned to look at the till it had a big line up and I also thought why could she not check I worked in a similar store I now it is an easy check) I looked at her and she gave me an annoyed look so I shurgged my shoulders and off to the till I went.
Standing in line and watching it get longer and then the cashier called for help, well guess who came to help her (the annoyed girl) and guess who the "annoyed girl had to help next.... ME.... lol. So I push Orion up to her and said to her well you know what I want, she sighed and said yeah (thrilled she was) then she asked what seat again I told her then she typed in the 8 digit code and out pop what stores had some and how many left. She ripped it off the till and said here these are the stores that have them left then turned her back on me.... What a little Witch, no customer service skills at all. I looked at her and said "ok, thanks I guess..."
I called one of the stores (on the paper it said they had 6 left) they said only 2 left now I asked to put one on hold I'd be there in 30minutes. I got there and the girl was so very helpful (totally opposite for the last one) she even carried the seat to my car. Anyways she said I was lucky because as she hung up from me and put the seat on hold a couple came in looking for 2.
I was ment to have this seat for Orion. The original cost of the seat was $199.99 then $50.00 off used my $100.00 gift card and paid only $60.00 and change for it, now that is a deal. Orion likes it too.

A few things

A few nights ago dh and I were sleeping peacfully then we hear this racket come thru the baby monitor ... band bang crack then his little lullabye plays then bang bang off it goes then all is quiet .... not for long as it repeats again and again, dare I go see what the boy is up too.... .hmmm No...lol
So when he wakes in the morning guess what I see, and the racket from the night makes sense ... Orion did a 180 in his crib and he was all smilies when I got him. His feet must of been hitting the side of the crib and that is also where his lullabye thing hangs.

---

He slept, Orion that is for 11.5 hours...... We will see if he does it again & if he does then it may be time to put him to bed earlier.... nope did not happen woke up at 8am again, which is fine with me.

--

Little man is rolling from tummy to back and now he is trying to roll on to his tummy but gets frustrated because his arm (right that is) is in the way, he starts to cry whine when he is stuck, ah one day he will get it.... he is Sitting pretty good still a bit wobbley but good he lasts a minute or 2.

Saturday, April 01, 2006

He is getting it ....

Orion is mastering rolling from his tummy to his back, see it here Rolling Over

He is doing better with eating cereal, he does not gag as much. Auntie D was here and she was feeding him mushed up cheerioes and ice cream (not together), that auntie of his....lol

Today Orion almost rolled over from his back to tummy but that left arm was in the way and did he get upset about that...lol He is also starting to sit better all by his self.

---

My sis D was in town to meet Orion and visit with everyone else and well we messed up Orion schedual and he did really well with it. He went shopping stayed out late all with a little smile on his face. Boy was I blessed with such a good little boy.

I think his legs are sore because he does not move them like he normally does. Hoping tomorrow is a better day.

Got to go he is crying again, like I said just one moment

Needle Day......

My poor little boy got poked again today.

I arrive at the clinic and once again I forgot how warm it is in there and I was wearing a light jacket. Undressed Orion he was babbling away the nurse calls his name we go over to get him weighed. Orion is a little flirt he kept eyeing the nurse and when she'd look at he'd give her a big ole slobbery smile, that was it once I put him on the weigh scale took his diaper off he did not like that and cried. Once back in my arms he was a happy camper only to be put down again to be measured once again he was not impressed...lol

Weight ~ 14.1 lbs

Height ~ 26. Inches (I think she said)
Head Cir ~ 17 inches

he is in the 25% range.

Now for the needle and boy he was not happy about it let me tell ya. I was holding him in my lap clapping his hands when she poked him not once, not twice but three time and he cried so hard he held his breathe. The nurse was trying to show him a flashing toy but his eyes were closed so tight to even see it and crying to hard to hear us. I stood up and bounced him some then he calmed down then the nurse showed him the toy again, Orion reaches out to try and grab it he was a bit clumsy at 1st but he did manage to grab it. We then sat around for 15min to see if he'd have a reaction and at 2:15pm we left and went shopping.

Went to Zellers then Toys R us looking for a potty for him (yeah I know he still has a ways to go) I used up one of my gift cards for the baby shower and I thought a potty would be a good thing to get with it. I bought the 1st Years Disney Potty.

fun sounds encourage your little one
Pooh and friends make toilet training less intimidating
high backrest helps your child feel secure
lift-out pot for easy emptying and cleaning
easy grip handles for a sense of security
detachable seat fits family toilet
sturdy base converts to a handy step stool

Starts as your child's own toilet, later a trainer for the family toilet and a handy step stool - featuring Winnie the Pooh. Sturdy step stool has skid resistant surface and feet.

I think it is cute.

Orion is starting to show interest in sitting up he last about 7 seconds then off to the front, side or back he goes, smiling all the way.

To make Orion smile, laugh or calm down all I need to do is sing:

The little one stops to suck his thumb

Well welcome CD1 gosh what memories does this bring back...lol

Next step is to call the Ffertility Clinic.

4 months

2 nights .....

Orion has slept in his room for 2 nights now or should I say it has been 2 nights that mommy has been able to sleep away from him... It is tuff..lol

The 1st night I put him in his room at 10:30pm he slept till 4am, I woke to him babbling to himself so I let him babble and he fell back to sleep then my baby monitor when alien like (freaked me out) I swear this Angel Care Monitor picks up everyone's baby monitor in the cul-de-sac I live on (4 babies under a year old). Orion woke again at 6am to eat.

The second night (last night) he went to bed at 11:30. Before I put him in his room I set up the old Fisher Price monitor plus the Angel Care monitor for the movement sensor fisher price for hearing him, this worked much better no alien like noises this time. I am not sure about the Angel Car monitor it gets so much interference but I like the movement sensor. Orion slept till 6am I went and got him brought him back to my bed and he slept till 8:30am. Another hurdle we or shall I say I have over come...lol. Baby steps right..lol

Oh and I am pretty much done pumping I am down to one pump every other day or when I get very full, I feel guilty for stopping but with going back to TTC I have to stop. I do have a small stash in the freezer but not as much as I wanted. ...... I will get over it, this is just another step right?

Do you see a resemblance.........

here is a pic of Orion at 4.5monthsno he is not sitting by himself it is the magic of Photoshop...lol (I took my hand out)

and here is me at around 4 or 5months old

are we not just the happy ones..lol

Bad Dreams.....

I have had bad nightmare dreams the last couple of nights.

The 1st dream someone was telling Orion is gone he is gone and I remember in the dream I could not see him anywhere, then I kept telling myself in my dream that this is just a dream I will wake up and that is when Orion woke me he was laughing in his sleep.

The second night same thing someone told me Orion is gone but this time a could see him so a ran to him picked him up and he did nothing but he was so warm and I cradled him to me thinking no no no this is not real.............. I woke and looked for Orion next to me he was breathing just fine in his own deep sleep.

These dreams have felt so real and I hate that, hate it hate it. What is my mind telling me......

Dropping pumps...

I have decided that I am going to start to cut back on my pumping my milk for Orion, it's been almost 5months of pumping and really is getting tiring. I don't get to motivated because I have to pump at least every 4 hrs for 30minutes, it's really getting in the way of things. Yes I feel guilty for wanting to stop because that will mean no more breast milk for Orion but I do have some stashed away in the freezer but that will only last a couple of weeks. I just need a break from it all before we start to TTC #2 in March or April.

Ah Mommy hood is filled with so much happiness and guilt...... lol. You feel guilty to do things for yourself now.

Next step is moving him into his own room for the night sleeps.

----

Tummy time it not a happy time for Orion. He screams his head off then DH says why did you put him on his tummy now he is grouchy, well if I waited till he is grouchy to do tummy time it won't happen Orion is such a happy baby and well he really needs tummy time to build up his arm strength since he has none he holds his head great but just does not push up on his arms at all.

A good night

I am proud of Orion the only sign of him having a needle is he is not kicking his legs as much as he normally does, what a little trooper. He was smiling and laughing last night and this morning. He slept the full 8hrs last night

Orion's 4month needle

which I forgot about thought it was on Thursday good thing I look at his calendar on the fridge because I was about to get ready for my Dentist appointment at 1:15pm and his Needle was for 1:20pm, I had to call my mum tell her I don't need her today because I screwed up then called the dentist and rescheduled.

Arrived at the Clinic ten after 1 let them know that I or shall I say Orion was here they sent me to the back to dress him down to his diaper (which Orion was not impressed b/c I had to wake him up) The nurse comes and calls out his name get him to the weigh scale have to take his diaper off (and I pray he does not pee) he weighed in at 11lbs 13oz put his diaper back on (he did not pee, whew) lay him on the measuring table I have to hold his he against the top board so the nurse can straighten out his legs to get a good measure which was 23 1/2cm. Put his top back on and go into room #1 we sit down the nurse asks a few questions and if I had any, Orion at this point was babbling and laughing away he was even watching the nurse take out the needles getting them ready.

I cradle Orion in my arms get him ready the nurse comes over and I watch that needle enter my sons flesh (as I am watching I am thinking to myself that the needle itself looks to big to put in his leg) he flinches and cries, she then gets the next needle does that real quick then I have to turn Orion around for her to jab into his other leg when I really wanted to comfort him but the nurse made sense get the last one done before we settle him down. When she was done I hugged my boy close while he whimpered when I turned him to face the nurse he turned his head away from her so she tried to look at him and again he turned his head away from her, guess he wanted nothing to do with her now...lol.

He settled down pretty quick, we go back out to the waiting room I dress him back up sit down and wait the required15min so I feed the boy make him happy. As I was feeding Orion I heard another little wailing cry come from room #2 and it was loud that little baby was NOT happy, when the door opened that mommy and baby came out I could tell the mommy cried too so I smile at her. She later asked me how old Orion was because she was next in line to be weighed after he was done and she thought I said he was 4m old and that her Daughter was 2m old and weighed exactly the same as Orion and she was thinking OMG...lol I told her technically he is 2 1/2 months old so your DD is doing good.

I hope the night goes well and my little boy stays happy.

Shake shake shake

shake that rattle.....

Orion holds a rattle, mind you I have to give it to him but he does open his hand then clasps it, He then shakes it then laughs then shakes it again hits his head with it looks startled then tries to shove it in his mouth.

The other morning I introduced Orion to baby rice cereal just to see what he'd do, well he tried to suck it off the spoon...lol then it went all over his little chin... messy messy boy, I put the rest in his bottle since it was quiet runny and he ate the rest well gobbled it up.

well he is hungy yet again time to feed...

Orion's 4 months check up

Orion had a Dr appt today.

his 4 month check up
Weight is 11 lbs 5 oz
Lenght 24 inches
Head cir is 17 inches

he was a laughing at the Dr so she was laughing back at him.
She said not to worry that he is not pushing up on his arms yet.
She said that he is using his chest to lift his head while on his tummy but his arms are going to the right position he just does not push up. She is impressed with the way he controls his head tho.

Then we went hunting for a jolly jumper one that has a stand since we do not have door frames in our house, do you think I could find one anywhere NO Toy R Us said to call them next week they should be getting some in.

That is it from here.

GooGooo Ga ga.....

I remember my DH saying that it annoyed him when people would talk to their babies in that high pitched baby voice, well now who is doing it...lol. I just sit back a smile as I watch as our little boy turns my big man into a googoo gaga high pitched talking man... oh the smile to my face.

It is amazing how this one little person can change your way of thinking, the way we do things, they way we see things, how we see things that we forgot that were there and how we get back to being a kid ourselves again, all this from one little being that came into this world only weighing 4 pounds 3.5 ounces

Tongue sucker....

This is what Orion does just before he falls asleep, he rubs his head and sucks his tongue sometimes his arm (which leaves a big wet spot on his clothes), you try to give him the soother he just spits it out and continues with just the tongue sucking...lol

and here he is sleeping with his eyes open

Happy New Year

Ahhhh What are my goals for this year.......

To be a good wife, mommy , sister and friend.

Where did 2005 go? It flew by so fast maybe because I was preoccupied with my pg (pregnancy) .

We went to my BIL brothers house for New Years. I really did not feel like going out that night but DH said yes that we'd go, it's a pain to go places right now since I pump my milk for Orion (he does not breastfeed from me) so I have to lug around my pump, baby diaper bag and my sweet little boy and if I don't bring the pump or don't pump within 4hrs my little breast become little ROCKS sometimes they get so hard it feel like the move up my chest (the swelling) it is uncomfortable, when who had babies will now this men well men will never know or yet understand my dh does not really get the full picture even though he did see me bawl my eyes out a few days after I had Orion because my breast were so hard and so so red and sore.
Anyways once we got there it was fine I was able to pump in their bedroom.
Orion was a very good boy did not cry until I got him ready to leave.

We got home around 2am I skipped a pumped and DH feed Orion got to bed around 2:30am, Orion woke at 6:30am and my breast were hurting so bad they were so hard felt like they were in my neck I contemplated
on waking DH to feed Orion so I could pump, but I managed to put Orion in his little vibrating chair feed him the bottle while I positioned myself on the floor beside him and pumped... talk about multi tasking. When DH whole at 10am I told him that I was tempted to wake him and why all he said was I would of been upset if you did I finally got over 8hrs sleep...(what the&#^$%) is all I thought, he get almost 7hrs every night while I get between 4 or 5 hrs on a good night....hmmmmm

A Dream lost ....

It is still hard to believe 2yrs ago today our hearts were broken and so so heavy with pain over the loss of William. That day was so hard to get past (it was a very bad dream moving so slow) and then to even think we'd have another son 2yrs later. So today I want to say mommy loves you so much William and I thank you everday for helping your little brother Orion to get here.

I like to think that when Orion is staring off to nothing and smiling that he sees William smiling back..... Truly a Miracle with a life time of Dreams.................

He Laughs....

but in his sleep. What does Orion have to dream about that is funny? I would love to see what goes on in his little head.

Orson (DH aka Daddy) was holding Orion while he slept and out came this laugh like a little chuckle and a big ole grin on his face and then back to sleep he went... hmmm

Guess who is 9lbs 15oz...

yup Orion my little piggy..lol He is 23inches his little curve on the scale did a spike Dr is impressed. I asked about formula and she went and gave me 3 cans of Enfamil... I love my Dr.

It took my 1hr to get to the Dr office which is normally a 30min dr, all this construction on the roads is driving me crazy, It took me 15min to get thru one set of lights because of it. grrrr

Got to the Dr they were about to call me they figured it was traffic and then trying to find a parking space exspecially one that I know I will get the carseat in and out of and not have some person park like a sardin neck to me. When I got in to the office the Nurse D came right around from her desk and took Orion from my arms and gave him a big hug (she loves babies) As we waited in the room Orion started to get fussy (wants to eat) and he is naked except his diaper so buy the time Dr N walks in Orion is crying she whispers sweet nothings in his ear he quiets down a bit she weighs and measures him real fast then he starts to scream again. When she was done she asked if Orion was going to see Santa today, I said that was my plan but I totally forgot and did not dress him right but I thought ohwell he still looks cute. Set up Orion's next appt for Jan 19th then we went on the hunt for Santa. Surprizinly there was no line when we found him nice and smooth.......ahhhhhh

Here is a pic of Orion with Santa, ofcourse Orions tongue is sticking inbetween his lips again..lol

How did that happen....

3 months already, my baby is growing

It is hard to beleive that in 3months we will be TTC again I will be back on the fertility meds and the IVIG so that means no breast milk for Orion. I want to start giving him some formula now for him to get use to it (only maybe one feeding a day) but I don't know which one to get there are so many out there, any Ideas?

Oh and Orion has been sleeping for 5hrs at night for that last few nights..... whoo hooo.

Schedule???

Should Orion be on a regular schedule now? I have know clue, I try to do a schedule but either he starts to cluster feed and throws it off or DH throws it off, don't get me wrong DH (Orson) does a wonderful job he is so hands on with Orion I could not ask for a better DH and a daddy. So for those who have BTDT any thoughts on scheduling let me know. On the 27th we went to uncle Johns b-day dinner and my sister Heather thought it would be cute to put Orion in the roast pan, well he did fit. Here is my little Turkey

(Click on pic to see bigger)

Orion seems to spit up A lot latley after every feed, is this normal?

He also scared the living b-jeeshes out of me yesterday by holding is breathe while sucking down the bottle then trying to catch his breathe and turning blue at the same time.... he is out to scare me & it is working.

A night like any other....

Orion did not show many (if any) signs of having a hard time with the needles. The only reaction he had was being very sleepy and the nurse said he could be either very sleepy or crabby. Sleep was good.

He did have a lot of mucus, was choking on it today, not sure if that is normal we will see how he does tomorrow.

What a little trooper I have.

Orion's 1st needle

for Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, Hib, Pheumococcal Vaccine & Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine all that in three little needles, two in his left leg one in his right. All that in his little legs.

When I got to the clinic, (I was late because I got lost, and the place is just down the street as I found out) I had to feed Orion (3pm) so she took me into the staff room so I could feed him. When he was done eating they had me go into an open room with other parents and told me to take off his clothes leave his diaper on. So I did so and stood there with my naked baby in my arms (at least they had it warm in there) Orion was comfy. The nurse came out and looked at me and said this must be Orion since he is the only little babe here. She had me put him on the weigh scale she took his diaper off (all I could think was pleeease don't pee) and he was a whooping 7lbs 15oz (3.6kilos) up 40z from Wed. appointment(he didn't pee). Then she had me hold his head up against the frame so she could measure him without him wiggling down. he was/is 21inches (53.5cm) his head measured 38cm. He is in the 25% for weight, 50% for length and 70% for head.

Then came out the needles. The nurse and I spoke while she put the right dose in for him, we discovered that we both go to the same fertility Dr. and spoke of our infertility some. (it is amazing how people open up to you when your open about it all)
Now come the needles she takes Orion's leg as I am holding him while he sucks his soother she pinches up his skin then POKE little man jumps and whimpers then quiets down, then she does it again and again he jumps and cries a little this time then we switch him to do the other leg she does the same thing only this time he jumps and cries out loud longer and holds his breathe, Nurse says they save the last needle for a reason it stings. Poor little man still holding his breathe we ring a bell to see if that makes him breathe, nope does not work so I take his soother and rub it against his gums and shushed him and that worked. As a dress him he whimpers some then is quiet. Then mommy goes and gets her flu shot (my 1st one ever) nurse said would be best if I got it since Orion is only 2months old and a preemie at that so I did it.

Orion is asleep right now he whimpers here and there a bit we try not to move him to much since it hurts him but so far he is doing well. A tough little man I have.

We do this all over again when he is 4months, 6months, 1yr, 18months then Pre-school.

Well time for his 9pm feeding.

Orions Dr update

he is 7lbs 11oz now. Slowly climbing up the scale.

It is funny when I have been out with Orion because people respond to him by saying, oh he is a fresh one, or he is new, but when I told them he is 2months old they are shocked..lol Buit he so small...lol... Yes I know.

Saturday, November 12, 2005

2 months already!!

I have heard people say it goes fast but I did not think that fast, Orion is 2months today, he is just got out of his preemie clothes. WE or shall I say he has a Dr appt on Wed I think he weights about 8lbs then he goes for the 1st needle on Saturday, not sure how I am going to take it. Needles don't bother me but they are putting it into my baby will it bother him then it may bother me....lol

Snort snort....

I have never heard a baby snort so much...lol. or I have never noticed, do they all snort?
I need to tape him...lol

I have been blessed with a good happy baby (so far) the only times Orion cries is when I/we change him ( seem he does not really like his but exposed..lol, that will change in time won't it) or we don't get his food fast enough.

I am a Image hosted by Photobucket.com (proud Exclusive Pumper, EP) Orion was just not catching on to feeding at the breast so in order for him to get my breast milk is to pump for him. I will say it is not easy to pump every 3hrs but a mommy's got to do what a mommy's got to do, right. You need to pump for at least 20min for each breast so that means I would pump for 40 minutes till today my Pump in Style (double breast pump) arrived to day...yippee. I bid for it on e-bay and was the higher bidder this pump normally sales for almost $400.00 here I got it for $72.00 including shipping ( gotta love E-bay) so now I only pump for 20min ( I have 20 min of my life back. In the beginning I was only a bottle ahead of him now I am like a day and a half ahead. I can't wait till I get more ahead because you can freeze breast milk up to 7months in the deep freezer and since we will be TTC (Trying To Conceive) again in March I will not be able to "breastfeed" Orion (I will be back on the meds & IVIG) so I hope to have enough saved up for him that he can still have breast milk after March.

I am proud to say my little man is gaining weight he must weigh almost 8lbs now. His cheeks are getting chubby and his little legs are showing some meat on them not just looking like skin only. Well time for his 3am feeding.

Orion's Party (Baby Shower)

What a party and it was all for him! To celebrate the newest Miracle to the family and friends.

Orion was a Star he was so good, he stayed awake for pretty much the whole thing from 4:30pm to about 10pm. His eyes were big and bright checking everyone one out as they checked him out (maybe he was sizing them up..lol) Orion only started to cry once when it got real loud so I took him into a quiet room for a few moments then he was happy again. I am impressed with my house it held all these people, no one fell through the floors..lol

Overall it was a great night, my sisters H & J did an awesome job setting it all up. I will say that
I was and am dissapointed in a couple of friends of mine, out of 4 (close) only one showed up, and one was having a dinner that was pre-planned already could not come (which is fine) but the other 2 said they were comming did not. This bothers me because I went to thier baby showers in a dificult time in my life ( when we lost William) I still showed up happy and supportive for them when I was having a really hard time being there and still greivng my son. I guess that is where people differ in the way they see and feel things, it's just another reality in life.

Here is a funny: For the baby shower my sisters put up signs to follow to my house for guest to find well this lady walks in to the house takes here shoes off my sis and I look at each other then I look at the lady and ask her if I can help her, she said where the baby stuff for sell... HUH my sis pips up saying no this is a baby shower, as I was still looking at the lady. She then says oh sorry & put her shoes on and left.... lol When she left I said to my sister I thought she was someone you knew sis said nope I thought you knew her...lol

Picture of my boy

Here is my attempt to taking a photo of Orion, he kept sliding down(guess the material was slippery) and he looks so skinny...lol

Went to Fertility Clinic today..

So Dr Scott and Orion could meet.

I walked in to the office and asked the receptionist if Dr Scott was free so she could meet the little man she helped create to be here. The receptionist went to the back and told the nurse to let Dr Scott now I was here with the baby. I waited a few moments the I saw Dr Scott come out with a nurse and student Dr. She said he looked great and that everyone in the office was keeping tabs on me thru the pregnancy. She said that all my u/s came thru this office 1st before they went on to Dr O's office ( he works out of the clinic as well) Dr S said that every now and then the nurses would ask if she (me) had the baby yet or asked how I was doing. I then asked her if I would still be on file in 6 months to TTC again, she said oh yes you will be. The other nurse (whom I have not met) said your going to try so soon? Dr yes said considering her history Multiple losses abdominal ectopic and a 19week loss & a unicornuate Uterus on top of it all, not a good history to wait to try for to long.
As Dr S. went back in a couple of other nurses came out to see Orion too one said she took over from Chelsea and that she was to keep tabs on me for her..lol.. never new we'd be so popular with the clinic.

They called Orion the Miracle Baby.

Orion Dr update

The days are already flying by... Orion is 1month already

Orion had a Dr appt today he now ways 5lbs 6oz she said he has gained 25grams per day for the last week. My little boy is getting chubby cheeks. Why is it that people ask if he is a boy even when I have him dressed ALL in BLUE... One elderly lady even said "Oh she is so cute." I am like SHE??? he is dressed in blue and he looks like I BOY,(does he not??)

Orion is quiet alert in the mornings after his morning feed he stays awake for like 2hrs just looking around hanging out in either mommy's arms or the cradle.

Had Turkey dinner last night for Thanksgiving and the family were fighting in who gets to hold Orion next. When DH and I walked up to the door my mum came out and hugged us saying that seeing us walking up the sidewalk with Orion gave her chills of happiness.

Oh and guess what I fit into today...... yup my regular pants... woooo whoooo ...lol.

Funny thing about my appt, I thought the Dr appt was for yesterday so I drove the 35min drive to her office to only find when I get there that her office is close locked tight, it did not even cross my mind that she took Thanksgiving Day off. So did the drive again today guess I want to waste the gas.

DH came home and told me sad news today, one of his clients grandson passed away on Wednesday of meningitis this baby was born the day before Orion was. I can not imagine what that mother is going thru, I look at Orion and I know my world would fall apart if anything (god forbid) should happen to him.

DH is wonderful...

He came home from work and said, "go get some sleep, I will watch our boy. Ah some sleep has found me...lol

I only slept for 3 hrs but it was great, DH stayed up till 2am even tho he had to work in the morning he let me sleep.

Even the other night I went for a nap and slept for 6HRS I cam running down the stairs said I am sorry but how come you did not wake me (this is at 4:00am) you have to work in the morning? he said well you need your sleep I said yeah but you do to, he said that is ok.

I new I loved this man for a reason...

Orion meet new Dr

I arrived a bit late, guess I have to time it better now that it is now not just me that has to get ready Orion needs a FEW things to go with us too.... babies can pack a bunch of stuff...lol. When I walk into the Dr office the nurse behind the desk was not the one I normaly see, but she did know about Orion because she said when she saw him "so this is the little miracle, he is beautiful"

Dr N was so happy to see him, she said he is perfect (and he is) she sang to him.... she even said what a little miracle.

He weighed 4lbs 14oz almost 5lbs.

Today was Orion's & my first outing together other then driving home from the Hospital. So I strolled up & down the mall to show him off...... Yes I am PROUD!

Bye bye sleep??

OMG.... I new this was coming but man my body is in shock...lol and it is only going on the 3rd night....yikes!
I wanted to cry in the wee hours this morning. Every little grunt he made I had to look in on him to make sure he was fine.

Sleep will find me again someday soon..............
