Hurt Feelings

This is what Si does when his feeling are hurt or he when he starts to get upset. With it comes a little squeak of a whine

I love this little guy so much

1st Mothers Day gift from Lil O

Lil O's gift he brought home from school, he was so proud to give it to me.
Mr T must of hide them from me on Tuesday since I never saw the plants when I went in to volunteer.

I have had it since Mothers Day and it still has not bloomed so I am not sure what I am growing here. The main thing is that it is still alive (I do not have the greenest thumb around) But Lil O keeps checking it to to make sure it has enough water.

I see some-bunny

This little guy/girl has been hanging out front under my silver mound plant and keeps jumping out every time I walk by it, to bad it turns into a pesky big ole Jack-rabbit

18 month well 22 month check up

Si had his 18month check up but he is almost 22months I forgot to book it then I got the notice in the mail.


He is 23lbs (give or take he was screaming and wiggling to get off the weigh scale) and his height was 35inc (again give or take since yup you guessed it wiggling and screaming) Handled his needle well only cried for a couple of minutes.
It was funny because the nurse was explaining things to me and Lil O was sitting beside me and I guess he had his hand up to as the nurse a question I did not notice till the Nurse said and yes young man you have a question.
He asked "I don't get a needle till grade 5 right?" yes said the nurse " then he said looking smugly over at Ri "Ri will need one soon because he is 4" the Nurse look at Ri and said yes very soon. Ri then at this point looks up from his leapster and gave a coy smile and announced "No I won't need one thanks."

And so it begins

the Toothfairy will visit the house tonight. Lil O lost his tooth and he is so proud.

He was showing how wiggly it was and it was pointing straight out at me so I ask him if I could feel it and then pop it was in my fingers which surprised us both, then all the memories of my dad pulling my teeth came flooding back..lol  I did not think I could do it but I did.. :)

A visit from the tooth fairy is soon to be

Lil O has his 1st loose tooth. He was complaining earlier that he teeth hurt, I did not think much of it till at bed time while brushing his teeth, when I got to his bottom teeth he jumped back and said owie so I took the floss stick and started check and there it was the front bottom left tooth gave a little wiggle (surprised me, since I was not excepting that). I said ok look you have a loose tooth he was like what, what do you mean and then I saw that light go off in his head and a big ole smile spread across his face and said.....the tooth fairy is going to come to me mom. He then looked in the mirror to see it wiggle then he giggled before running off to tell his younger brother, I heard him say" I have a loose tooth Ri and guess what the tooth fairy is going to come and leave me coin under my pillow when it comes out, but not to you yet your still little."

I can not believe how grown up he is looking I see a glimpse of the teenager he will become. He is sporting the shave his dad gave him. side view coming soon.

Before all the mentioned above:

Today when I dropped lil O off at school he got upset because he did not see any class mates but I still sent him in (the snow was blowing and it was cold) I did not think much of it till I started to drive home and sure enough when I pulled into the garage hubby peeked out the door and looked into the van and I was thinking to myself is there no class today. I get inside and hubby asks wheres lil O? I'm like at school, he was like um he has no school today (I must of looked at him funny because he said I am serious they called you need to go get him. I was out that door fast and I felt so guilty as I got to the school his teacher Mr T saw me as he was loading the afternoon kindergartens for there Zoo day (yes the snow was still blowing) we laughed and he said it happens and the weather is not helping either. Into the office I go and there is my boy sitting and waiting for me, I gave him a hug and kiss and said sorry little man. He said it is ok mom, when Mr T saw me crying in the hall he ran to me fast and said it is ok we will call your mom. (boy that made me feel little). 

Oop did it again

I keep neglecting my blog...bad bad blogger.  I use to be so good till I joined Facebook.


Well the boys are growing like little weeds that they are and with it some serious attitude too.


Lil O is on the kick of saying "I don't care" when I threaten to take something away when his is being bad so right now he is on day 4 of 6 of not being able to play Lego Starwars on the Xbox. He keeps trying tho by saying I have been good so can I play.


Ri now on the other hand says "Don't talk to me" or " Don't see me" when I catch him not behaving well even better he will say "I'm Boring hmm " and stomps off (Not quiet sure where or what he means by that calling himself boring) 


and the littlest man Si still not talking to much or we don't understand his language :) but I do see some attitude coming through for instance when he gets a hold of something he should not have, when I approach him and he sees me coming he will turn and throw it in the other direction (the boy has a good throw too, impressive) and for some reason LOVES my computer so I have to jimmy the chair and hide the mouse when I am not using it (he has almost purchase a 300.00 doll on ebay once, caught him in time tho and who knows how he got on to ebay in the 1st place)


I also finally moved the 2 older boys into the same room and it went way easier the I thought it would. I waited a few days before I moved Si out of my room into Ri's old room and everything is going smoothly surprisingly.

Community winter party

Braved the crispy air (-4 °C felt colder) Forced myself to go out, my goal this year is to get out more with the boys. Last year was a bust since I could not walk well because of the plantar fasciitis, now that I have the orthotics my feet are much much better but I can not go without shoes. here are photos of today:

Lil O was mesmerized by the fire it was like he was in a trance lol. Got them onto the ice and at 1st Ri thought it to be fun slip sliding around till he fell back on his butt (guess he is not as padded as I thought.. :) ) 


I was dreading going but once out is was good.

Went to the mall yesterday and we came across some human ornament statues. They move every time someone walked up to them. Lil O found this one to be pretty and wanted his photo taken with her..good thing I had the little camera with me.


The boys thought it to be pretty neat well Lil O mostly Ri did not want to get to close...lol


I was trying to get a photo of them all but ran out of batery juice and forgot to put the other batteries in the diaper bag...oops

R.I.P Johnny

My Brother in Law died in a fire over the weekend:


He left behind my sister and their 3 boys


Johnny you were a great BIL always there when needed, you were a guy with a great big heart and you will be missed

Say it is not so....please NOOOOOO

I want to cry and smack myself at the same time, my external is dead I am told. All my boys photos were on it some transfered to another but I have none of Si's stuff. I am kicking myself I am ticked. I hope some program or another company may be able to recover it but it will cost. Geesh what an expensive few months. Oh & I have to re-edit the photos I just did thankfully they are still on the compact flash cards.


I just replaced my computer because it died I get it back and the next day my external dies I am sick to my stomach, I should of known better to back up everything right away...lesson learned.

I spent $500 on orthotics  
Spent almost $400 on the cat vet.
Dh had to spent $200
My computer was almost $700.
and I am told it could cost up to $1000.00 to recover the external drive....this sucks!

What a hard bittersweet day

I was call to take photos of a little baby that has passed yesterday. Baby L was only 48days on earth....Looks like SIDS. So sad I cried when I 1st went in and cried at the end. The mom asked how I was able to go thru my losses..that question took me back, I did not realize her Grandma told her of my past, my response was...step by step, minute by minute, day by day, you never forget.


Just like the pastor said one day you will carry this and it will not carry you.


But of course my losses were not quite the same don't get me wrong a loss of a baby at any time or stage is the hardest thing to have happen but I just can not imagine to have gotten to know my child, feed, touch, hold, kiss, smell and then it is all gone....oh how my heart aches, my world would crumble around me.


I hope baby L is at peace and may he find some friends in Heaven.


on the bittersweet side of it, my Si guy turned 1 today.

Walking with Dinosaurs

We took the boys to see Walking with Dinosaurs and I was impressed.


It was well done even tho you could see the "human legs" under some and the mini car (or whatever it is) under the larger ones but well enough hiding from the kids. It was loud and exciting for them. Lil O was sitting on the edge of his seat, when it started he did notice the thing under the dino's that moved them around and he asked loud enough if that was the Dinosaurs "pee pee"(he used the actual word just don't want to type it in here) and at times he would either grab a hold of me or his dad because the dinosaurs were fighting. When the T-rex came out he shouted out that is my dinosaur! Ri on the other hand was not so into it all he was ready to leave at the intermission time. By the time it was all over he was excited about Dinosaurs.

Shaking my head

I was feeding Si yesterday afternoon while the two older boys were playing up stairs. I could her them giggling away and running around Lil O lately loves talking about his body parts and was yelling one out quiet often, I told him that that is enough and to stop. I finished up with Si and could still here the other to giggling I heard Ri say oh there is a red car.. so I decided to sneak upstairs to see what they were doing (did not expect what I saw) and I neared the top of the stairs I heard lil O say the P( body part word) when I peaked over the ledge I saw they had no shirts on I thought ok they are copying daddy earlier walking around with no shirt till I see Ri get up onto the back of the couch (which is up against the large window to the front) the boy was naked I looked quickly to lil O and yup sure enough naked too....I then yelled out what do you too think you are doing they jumped down and scrambled to their rooms...( I am fighting the urge to laugh). Oh my poor neighbors were being flashed by my 5yr old and 3yr old boys...great.


I then explained to them that it is not nice to do that to people and that their body parts are private only for them to see. Mommy, daddy and the Dr at certain times other then that not for anyone else. I then later asked Lil O how many cars did they show themselves to? He said um 4. I then asked did they all see you boys and shook his head and said not all.


This all got me thinking again about how to protect them and make them aware of the "bad" people out there. I don't know how to really explain it all to them in the right way so they are not scared of everyone but atleast aware of them and how not to keep secrets from mommy & daddy. Any one know of any good books on this?

we went to Drumheller yesterday and I let Lil O use my old Digital Olympus UZ2100 I am impressed. I just let him go and this is what he shot I only sharped for web. the camera was on auto.

Was out back with the boys today as they were playing in the sprinkler and as I was standing and watch these 2 birds kept flying around me just tweeting away...that is when I remembered the little Birdie nest under our deck right were I was stand so I turn to look and saw some movement. I stepped away and sure enough one of the adult birds flew over and then chirping started........they had the babies.....so I went and got the camera and a stool tried to get a couple of good shots of them but they were at an odd angel for me and the deck was in the way so this is the best I could do.
